If you think that Rodeo is a thing they do in Texas with wild and crazy animals you are very mistaken!
Rodeo is a form of canoeing that, unlike slalom, incorporates aesthetics. However, to most people involved in it it is just an excuse to get on some wild water and have a big jamming session with Mother N!
There are several rodeo competitions across the country and the attract competitors of all ages and ability.
The current British Champion is Shaun Baker.

What do Team S.A.W do?
|
Team S.A.W are a non-profit making organisation looking at promoting the wilder side of canoeing to people of all ages. It was formed in 1996 and the mebership has increased dramatically since then.
Originally, Team S.A.W was just to men with similar boats who had a couple of T-Shirts printed. Who would have thought that it would have transformed itself into what it is today?

Do Team S.A.W just do rodeo?
|
Team S.A.W's fleet of boats also includes slalom boats and canadian canoes. We also have access to one of these! You can often find Team S.A.W members on the beaches of Britain if the surf is up. Basically, Team S.A.W will indulge in any canoeing activity that moves away from the mundane flat water work. We also indulge in some non-canoeing activities too, and hence we are extremely good at navigating by pubs.
